Saltlands Studio and “Bored to Death” on HBO

The most recent episode of “Bored to Death” on HBO (The Missing Skateboard) featured two songs that were tracked right here at Saltlands.
“All or Nothing” by Au Revoir Simone and “Toy Piano” by Dawn Landes
We find this very exciting.

Dawn Landes – “Sweet Heart Rodeo”

“Sweet Heart Rodeo” is finished and due for release in the U.S. in January.. Dawn recorded her new record at Saltlands, with Jim and herself engineering! We had many great musicians come through to contribute. Thanks all!

“Away We Go” Soundtrack

Alexi Murdoch provided the entire soundtrack for the new Sam Mendes film, “Away We Go.” Three of the tracks were engineered and mixed by Jim Smith, and appear on the EP “Towards the Sun” that Alexi recorded with Jim this past spring.
